Cash-flow problems strike the family when Suzanne's credit issues surface and Nick's work necessitates a new van.

Young Kevin gets a kick out of soccer, but Nick doesn't see the appeal. Meanwhile, Lindsey's secretiveness exasperates Suzanne, who then snoops into her teen daughter's private life via the Internet.

Kevin takes care of a rat that ends up getting lost in the house. Tension arises between Gigi and Lindsey when one of Gigi's old boyfriends showers them with gifts and clothes.
